The first step to doing the fish pose is just relax your whole body while you lie down on your yoga mat. Next, cross your legs as if you are sitting. Put your legs and feet down and just continue to lie down on the mat.

Listen to your body and do not force any of these movements. If you are comfortable doing the pose, continue doing so. Next, lift your chest slightly with the help of your arms and elbows. Your hands should be on your hip area while your elbows remain on the ground.

Tilt your head back and lower your crown to the floor while maintaining your slightly lifted chest pose. Try to grab your big toes with your hands and maintain that position. Feel the stretch and the relaxation of this yoga pose.

Continue breathing slowly and deeply while you use your elbows to get back into the lying down position. Straighten your legs, too, but don’t do it too fast. Relax and enjoy a bit of Savasana or corpse pose after.
