Helping people in need is one way to get through hard times. It is amazing to see how yogis take in the world around them and offer their practices to help others. Yoga can help us become grounded, connect with our true selves, develop compassion and love, and then pass this on to those who need it most.
Many people want to change the world, but few actually do. The reason is that people go about it in the wrong way. They tend to focus on making big changes to social structures instead of changing individuals. If you really want to change the world, you have to change yourself.
Some of the world is terrible, but it can be changed. We often hear about the negative news about the world, and that can scare us. Let’s focus on the positive instead. There are some things we can do right in our own backyard. One way is to improve the lives of those around us.
Yoga practice will make you more grounded, functional and powerful.
